In case you were curious..
Here's a little sneak-peek of what we're going to be up to on the north-west 16th of the allotment plot.

Minor corrections
Well, my fingers are covered in a sticky white substance. Fortunatly it's silicone sealent. Just been around the seams of the camera-case with it. Making it a little more water-proofed. Also stuck the foam inserts in place.
The start of the wine-making segment is done. They'll be a little bit more tommorow, then a bit more 5 days after that, then some more 6-9months later. Probably 6, or it won't make it into series 1. Fingers crossed on that one.

There's been some trouble on the gardening front too, in that one of the rental power-tools didn't work. Fortunatly there's a backup at hand, which is cheaper and works a lot better. Still, wish it hadn't ment wasting £70.

This sunday I'll be dropping by nigefoxx in Bath, where we'll be picking up a special something for the allotment and doing some filming on the basics of cars. Wish us luck!

Why so quiet?
Just a small update in case any of you were wondering why nothing new's been listed here this past few weeks. Well, as allways, it's been due to a combination of sickness and familial commitments. But rest assured! After St Georges Day, thing'll be picking up again! We're all set and ready to go on the wine-making segment, proper freezer-etiquette and growing your own food. Next weekend on the 30th, I'll be in Bath breifly, doing a short bit of filming with nigefoxx on the basics of cars and the internal combustion engine. So many people rely on these things and yet have no idea how it all works.
The week afterward, I'll be dragging the camera equipment allong to the London 2600 meeting and hopefully scooping up some random tips and advice. Cast your net wide!

Also, looking for ideas for the Kids episode. Zarla already knows something that'll be going into it, but we'll need some more ideas. It's currently the least fleshed-out episode on the shedule. At least one segment of it will have to wait until the allotment has progressed to a certain point though. I shall say no more about that at this time though.

Website update, and a couple of production notes
A minor update to the website. The updates Iframe has now been changed to point at the new Scavengers Workshop livejournal group.

Honey calculations were wrong. A teaspoon is officialy only 5ml, therefor yearly consuption would only be 6 litres, not 36.

Also, a test video rendering of the show logo has been sent to me from Peter Vaughn. It's very good. Not sure that this particular one will be the one for the show intro credits, but it'll certainly make transitional graphics between segments.

New community
To provide contributors with a centralised place for discussion and ideas for the show, as well as list current production updates, and give the show website a better look, I've created this seperate community.
Previous show updates can be found listed under the Scavengers Workshop content tag of my personal journal.

Having a seperate journal here should hopefully further make the show a seperate entity from myself, or at least mean people can monitor the shows progress through their friends list on LJ without having to listen to my personal issues. :)
